I have an old Momo Le Mans steering wheel and am curious about it's age. On the back of one of the spokes is stamped "Australiani Distributori Brian - Foley Motors". Given the spelling it would appear to be an authentic factory stamping. Anyone recognise the name and recall the era?

Didnt Brian Foley race Alfas ? check his website: http://www.foleyalfa.com.au/about.php
Perhaps he was the distrubutor back then ? I thought early MOMO's had a date stamp on them.
Interestingly, I believe MOMO was an amalgamation of 2 companies in the late 60's. The '67 911R had a MONZA wheel on it and I think in 1968 he amalgamated with a Morelli (?) to form the MO MO company as we know it today.
Attached are pics of an early Prototipo I have wiht its markings detailed.
Am interested to sell this if someone is interested. Leather is old and faded and needs teh "Andrew Vidler" attention to bring it back, or keep the patina and leave as is.Last edited by e72phil; 01-09-10, 10:59 AM.sigpicPhil Lack

Thanks Phil
Didn't even think to do a google search, Doh!
Anyway I gave them a call and the guy I spoke to suspected early 70s but suggested I get in touch with Brian and gave me his email, so I'll wait and see if he gets back to me.
BTW there is no date stamp on the wheel so maybe it's only on later wheels.
