Sorry I can't make this run - it clashes with my 'once a month' designated (and hard earned) golf days - which I never miss - not even for a wedding, funeral or unfortunately a TYP901 run. This is one event that I was really looking forward to as the countryside and roads in that area are absolutely stunning - not to mention the Grand Ridge Brewery at Mirboo North. As you drive through the area and pass by (or through) the many pine plantations, remember me, as I was probably responsible for surveying the land prior to the trees being planted (in the old days of the then Forests Commission)
Have a great day and I encourage as many as possible to go - you won't be disappointed. Lisa assured me that the last run was terrific and with Bruce and Jan organising the route its certain to be an interesting day.

Now Clyde, with an offer like that to drive the RS, I would even consider flying back form Germany to drive it.

lets see, my options for that Sunday are:

1/ pick up my rental 997, drive up to Nurburgring for some laps, then an autobahn blast south to Stuttgart

2/ drive a real RS to Mirboo North.

                        Tough decision.

Ah yes, glad we cleared that one up Clyde!!

As much as I would like to attend, I have just started a new job and the combination of a lack of choice with flights and an inability to take a day or two off for flying time means I will sadly miss out.
