    SAD NEWS FROM THE USA

    Everyone,

I have just heard from Clyde who is still in the USA after the R-Gruppe event.

Phil received a phone call 6.00pm Sunday (Melbourne time) to advise that his wife Jill has passed away.

Our thoughts and love are with Phil and the children; Michael, Erin and Tim.

    Lisa Gregory

edited: wrong info (Sorry Phil - I got the day wrong; I was just so shocked when I spoke to Clyde).

Julie and I offer our deepest sympathy to Phil and family, especially the kids.
We will remember Jill as being a warm and friendly person with whom we loved to chat at various Club events. She also had terrific Typ901 driving skills which were admirably demonstrated during the Fergussons winery run last year, hence the car's tag - LAK 911 (Jill's car).
                  She will be sadly missed.

                    Phil, Michael, Erin and Tim,

From all of the Webster family, our deepest condolences to you all.

She warmed to both Sonya and I, and both of us are in shock to hear of Jill's passing.

                    Our prayers are with you.

                        Hello everyone,

I just arrived back home this morning.

The news I recvd early Sunday morning (US time) was indeed devastating. Jill apparently passed away whilst asleep on Sunday afternoon. We have to await the coroner to determine what happened. At least it was painless.

Clyde Boyer was a tremendous support to me at this time and we hardly got any more sleep that night. Once the R Gruppe guys heard the news, i was overwhelmed with their support and offers to help with the car etc.

Clyde dropped me at SFO airport and I flew to LA to catch the earliest possible flt home which didnt leave until 1130pm that night. Clyde has just advised me the car is safely in LA at Kent Moores place and Clyde is on the way to LAX to catch his scheduled flt home.

Wow, what an emotional rollercoaster with all the fantastic R Gruppe stuff that happened (see earlyS registry forum) and then this sad news, I didnt know what to feel. probably still in shock but at least am now home with the kids . Thankfully Jill's parents were also staying here for the week I was away so the kids didnt have to deal with this alone.

I appreciate all the thoughts from everyone, they are flowing in from around the world. Jill had friends in many places.

I hope I will see a few of you on May 20 at the dinner, sadly without Jill.

She will be missed by us every day.

                          I'm shocked and saddened.

I'm now reminded of the little chat we had on the Sunday at last years nats. I felt welcome and included. The tremendous photo my friend Mark Goddard took of this (on my study wall) now has added significance.

The randomness and unfairness of it all.

I can only offer my most sincere condolences to the Lack clan.

i am shocked and really saddened to hear of this Phil. I met Jill only once, on your boat in Sydney last year with your kids and she struck me as a most gracious, warm and friendly lady.

Sincere condolences and prayers for you and your children.
