    5 Arm engine yoke

I have been doing some pretty dodgy (in occ. health and safety terms) work using the engine lifting crane on an engine and have decided to bite the bullet and buy one of these http://mainelycustombydesign.com/1Engine_stand2.html
hopefully it wont get lost in the Christmas postal rush.

Nice Chris, i've got one of the adapter plates that on a standard engine stand, i just have to shift the lifting bracket to balance the engine better when mounting without the gearbox.

I was going to get the adaptor plate Tony, but when I went through the checkout it said $40 shipping for adaptor or yoke so I went with the yoke.
$40 sounds cheap so I guess I will know in a day or so whether they will honour it.

I also went for the adapter, but that's a much nicer solution - good find.

The company just got back to me, and not surprisingly they told me the shipping was incorrect and I would have to pay $122.

                  Arrived last week.
Very easy to rotate on the stand.

                    Hey Chris,
What make is that stand? Your original link doesn't work any longer. Did you buy yoke too?

I reckon the stand is from supercheap or similar.

I did not buy a bench mount if that is what you mean?

I wasn't sure if the link was for the stand or yoke. Did you get a good deal on the yoke?
