Old Recaro's

Found a couple of old Recaros in my mate's shed on the weekend, no they are not genuine Porsche option ones but do look a bit similar, and I'm thinking of using them in my car.

Has anyone had any of these reconditioned lately?

Not sure if they are worth the effort and expense as I would need to find new rails and head rests as well as reconditioning costs.

Anyone have any thoughts as to:
- Cost
- Availability of parts
- Anyone that specialises in these and where to get correct porsche type material for recovering

Take my advice pass in a big hurry.

Wait till Phil (GTS Classics) has their recaro copy in production they look great weigh heaps less and won't cost you anywhere near as much as the reconditioning process of those two babies.

He's had them sitting in various sheds for about 10 years, been sitting around for a bit before that I think.... :shock:

Put em on ebay. A guy was asking $1999 for a set burnt in a car fire. these are postiviely pristine compared to those ones.
