    Headlight Info.

I'm looking for any knowledge or advice on headlights for my 1965 912.
From what I have found on forums etc. it seems the early cars had almost the same lights as a 356 with maybe a different chrome trim.
This "seems" to be the part number 901.631.101.01
which was 644.631.101.01 for the 356.
I can get a NOS set but the outlay will be close to $1000 does that seem too much.
I have included a couple of pics to show the style.
    Thanks in advance.

Done deal, I have read so many headlight threads in the last day or so my head is still spinning.
I know one thing for sure, if I break one of these lenses I'll be in the ****.

I picked up the 3M film on my H4s at Autobarn. Been on 10 years now.

Is it tricky to get the film wrinkle free on the slightly convex surface?

The Pelican set comes with a squiggle for the purpose, and some water and dish soap and you're all good.

Pity, I liked the idea of a sqiggle.

As sometimes happens, one of the first people I sent an email to asking about lights has now replied and he also has a NOS pair of these lights that he would sell, these are in the UK.
If anyone is interested, I am happy to put you in touch.
