    Cool upgrade for our gauges!

Was just on the north hollywood speedo website and found this for our cars as an upgrade. I have enquired about the cost, but think that it would be a great look and a safety upgrade on our old cars.

They replace the old globes with LED's and make the guages jump out at you. I guess it depends on how bright they are, but brighter is better than not in my opinion!

    What you think?

FANTASTIC IDEA for us older blind blokes. Do you have an idea of cost - it may not be that expensive and i assume would be reversible.

Hey Clyde would be VERY, VERY cool in that new project you are contemplating.

Found out that it is $350 US plus shipping costs. You send you gauges over and it takes about 7-10 days to do. Plus the shipping time, depending on how you send it, you could have it back within about 2 1/2 weeks.
I don't think it is bad, and if we got a few sets together I am sure they would discount or at least save on some shipping costs

there are LED replacement globes around that you substitute for your existing filament globes. There has been a lot of discussion about these LED's on the early S and Pelican sites and I think there is a cheaper alternative than US$350.

LED replacemnt globes are appearing everywhere and you might like to check out an electronics store like Jaycar in the city to see what they have off the shelf. I think the LED lights ofr guages are a great idea. they use less power and are much brighter. If I find some available, I'll post to the board.
