    911T Owners Help Please

I have a favour to ask you T owners....

I'd greatly appreciate it if any of you with original cars could take some photos of your lhs engine bay and the front battery position(s) and post them in reply.

    Thanks a lot

I believe mine is fairly original.
This is the only photo I have of the engine bay that may be suitable - If no others appear I'll take one specifically of the LHS of the engine bay and also of the battery compartments when able ( within a few days) and post them for you

    Regards

after seeing Peter's immaculate engine bay, i'm way too embarrassed to take a photo of mine !!! Great pic Peter !

My tangerine is heavily modified also, so wouldn't be of assistance. But here's one of my conda 70T ... before any cleaning ...

Now Peter, that’s simply showing off . Few of us could aspire to having an engine bay that looks like that - and if I did I think I’d be too afraid to drive the car for fear of messing it up.

How have you treated your fan and housing? Mine looked like that for about 5 minutes after I had it polished and clear coated.

You're right - it is showing off.
The fan and housing was cleaned and powder coated clear.
The previous photo was taken not long after it was done about 2-3 years ago.
This photo is current, and as you can see there is a degree of staining coming through from under the clear coat- it appears that this is unavoidable.
Once the engine is detailed like this it tends to retain its looks with very little effort - although I only drive the car occassionally.

                3 CDI boxes
                12 plug leads

lucky you sold that car when you did clyde - you have the wrong smerkle bracket (its on the left near the quork injector)

Yes Porsce Cars told me that also. I was looking for the part at allporshepartsaremissingorbadlynamed.com but they didn't have any NOS smerkle brackets available.

See if you can see it in this pic

                              Cameron,

I will take the shots of the front tomorrow as I have the T in bits for some painting prior to going to the new owner (he is paying for the painting).

Remember however this car is USA spec so has a charcoal canister in the front area as well.

Do you want some pics with the plastic cover removed from the CDI area?
