We spent Easter down in the Southern Highlands. Some great bush walking in the national parks and perfect country roads.
Two good yarns from the weekend: went to the Easter market in Burrawang and ran into Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban and the kids . . . got to love Australia, they were just wandering through the market going from stall to stall and nobody even seemed to notice. We got back to our cars in the paddock at the the same time and Keith watched us come past their 4WD in Noddy Fudpucker and gave the thumbs up . . . official celebrity endorsement!
Later the same day we went to the "famous" Robertson pie shop and a van filled with Chinese tourists pulled up. For about ten minutes we watched through the window as they took turns posing for a photo next to the car . . . just doing our bit for Australian tourism.
Put some miles on the car and loved every minute of it. Mrs npvpositive was even getting comfortable with the powerband at 5,000 rpm+ . . . though double demerit points kept me from getting too silly. Little bit of unsealed stuff in the national parks, but for the sake of the paint I kept my inner rally driver under control.
Good pies . . . the 911 looks like a toy next to that ute:
