what badges/stickers do you display (and why)?

    Hi all,

it was suggested we start a thread like this, so here it goes:

    Kay is sporting these:

Early ADAC enamel badge without eagle - c.50s

Later ADAC anniversary enamel badge 1903 - 2003 with eagle.

Unobtainium ACM AUTOMOBILE CLUB DE MONACO members badge.

60s DMV enamel badge- Deutscher Motorsport Verband- German Racing club

....I don't have enough room for all the other badges I have.

    My favorite:

              HK Motor Sports Club

my 2.4 E was originally delivered to HK.

the badge came with the car but was in a very poor state so had it restored a couple of years ago.

the detail in the dragon is quite something.

                    Hey Craig,

very cool. Especially since it came with the car so a bit of history.

                        I did warn you...

My collection of these things seems to grow all the time... my favorites are really the ones from the '50's, as they are beautifully crafted in their own right! Almost worth getting a 356 just to have a place to put some badges...

This is the current one on the Carrera - I have family connection in the Steiermark region of Austria, and a cousin sourced one of these for me when I first got my '69T. IMG_0308.jpg

This is probably my favorite badge of all time. So beautiful in person & I have a lapel badge that goes with it (like an old fashioned boutionnaire) - such lovely craftsmanship! IMG_0317.jpg

Some more various badges, including one for a '71 (in anyone is interested in this, PM me!) :

                            gents,

thanks, kind words, it was a mess before i sent it to Karla Maxwell in the US, she is one of very few people to repair this sort of enamelling, you can see it was badly damaged and extensively modified by Karla to mount on the rear grille.

Craig, that HK badge is a cracker! Would you be able to PM me the details for Karla, as I have a badge which needs some work.
