    Shifter plate springs WARNING

After being a little too keen today I took out the 2 x springs on the bottom of the shifter plate to clean and lube the whole assy.
It's all back together now but I am just passing on that it is not a good idea removing these hard to install springs unless you really really need to.
It is probably already in the "not to do list" but just passing it along anyway.

    Thanks

    Jim

    Jim,

I read back awhile ago, can't remember which site.

A guy was chasing a replacement spring, as he had lost one doing a refresh of the shifter assembly, after looking everywhere in the garage for it......only to walk out into his garage weeks later after putting it all back together, to find his original spring embedded in the ceiling.....

I've just bought regular shifter internals to swap out the short shifter that's in there now.

Sounds like a job to look forward to...!
