The Very Slow Resto of a 1970 911E

I've been slowly aquiring bits and pieces for the car. The interior is such a horror that I just cant live with it so in between doing work on the kombi I've started the process of re-trimming.

In the mean time here's a few base line photos to show where the starting point is. Look away if you are easily upset

A couple more for your viewing pleasure!

The bottom photo is of the trim that sits below the rear 1/4 window.

      Hey Cam, some observations...

The seat back carpet I have matches the carpet in the front footwell of your first shot. I'll get you photos over the weekend.

The rear inner window trim is from the 68 only S/L trim package... Those 'chrome' strips are pretty rare and hard to get. Don't damage! Are your door tops the same (chrome strip)?

You've got a left hooker left door armrest... RHD cars have the version with a handle on the left.

        Hi Cam

What's the story with the dash vents?

Is it a converted car and they used a later dash cut?

As long as you don't find rust when you remove all the trim it should be fairly easy. Nothing time and money can't fix

        cheers

Thanks John good pick up on the chrome trims. I assume for a 70 car the trim piece is just vinyl with zero chrome then? Anyone need these very rare chrome pieces?!

Jeff they have just replaced the dash with a later one its a RHD car.
