Import from UK

Hi - I've bought a fair amount of stuff, but anything I've tried to get out of UK seems to have incredible freight costs.

Case in point is a window winder mechanism, for $50, but the seller is saying best price for postage is 110 Euros he can get......I'd call BS on this but just got a quote for a petrol tank from UK, and freight was close to price of tank....from a very well known supplier.

Any ideas on how to get the part here sensibly?

Unfortunately, you generally need to check your pants at the door and take something to bite down on, when you buy stuff in the UK, but that does seem excessive. Have a look at http://www.packsend.co.uk/
