I have met Peter Eckert (owner of Sportwagen -Eckart) several times at the Essen show. He knows my seat supplier, Reiner, quite well.

I have always bought parts from him at the show but never over the Net. It seems he carries quality stuff and has an excellent range of parts.

Let me know how you go dealing with them, however, I think you might find freight costs are high ex Germany.

Merv, what items are you after ? I am thinking about buying a few things from peter as well. At Essen this year I bought several mirrors and tail light lenses, plus some Porsche rear lid lettering.

they are great to deal with sent pictures to confirm we were talking about the same part and they do speak english if you call them which will make it easier then reading german

Thanks for these endorsements. It helps when buying blind. Phil, I after the dash pad for a 68 - the front piece that surrounds the dial set and goes all along the face of the dash. Sportwagen Ekert don't seem to respond to email (info@sportswagen-eckert.com) - at least in English, nor does their phone number correspond to any predictable sequence from Australia. Any suggestions re other email addresses?

Phil, just had an email back from Mattias at Sportswagen Ekert. 496 Euros for the correct LHD dash pad. Sound like the right deal and less than half of the price of some of the others.
