I have recently acquired my tangerine orange 1973 porsche 911E and have enjoyed driving it on the occasional weekends.
My next project is to search for its original engine and its number is 6239166.
I am hoping to tap into the wealth of knowledge of the 901 registry members in the hope to locate or to know where to start searching for it.

Get the details of previous mechanics, they are always one of the best sources of info re issues like this.

Hi Milly,

perhaps if you can give us more info about where and when you acquired your 73 911E, it will help us track down previous owners.

Is it a locally delivered car ? A LHD or RHD ? If imported, from where ?

All this helps the 911 detectives on this site to track your engine down.

it is the targerine one that jason had for sale a while ago and had at a 356 event - not sure if it was last year or earlier

It is Jason's old car.
It is Aust delivered and I believed that Jason bought the car without the original engine.
Apparently the engine still somewhere in Victoria.
Beside for Phil Hearn and Spencer , are there any other Porsche mechanics in Victoria?
