    Pirelli CN36 Re-Released

This is good news. Pirelli have re-released their CN36 in 185/70x15 which was original equipment for the 911 in some markets...

By my calculations on the Longstone @ £179 sterling, you won't get much change out of $2k for a set of four landed here and taxed. But if you're looking for a perfect OEM option, at least there's some more choice.

185/70 R 15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 The 185/70 R 15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36's Overall Diameter is 637 mm and the section width is 196 mm. If you require more information on the 185/70 R 15 Pirelli Cinturato CN36 please see below or call +44 (0) 1302 711 123. Return to the search for 185-70x15

Bummer, bought a set of XWX late last year, would have preferred the CN36 (for no logical reason). Wonder whether someone will bring them in like the XWX so they're not so costly?

Yes thanks John. In fact I was looking at these last week. And searching for an Aussie dealer. I was about to order the Vredestein, but I would rather Pirellis. I have contacted Pirelli Australia

Carl Jones would be a good contact re these and he would know how to go about getting them as he also gets in XWX tires sometimes. I will call and ask him.

XWX are out of stock for the moment. Tried to get some last week. No idea on the time frame for ordering as they have no plans to reorder.

Sounds like 3 sets of these are needed here on the Sunny Coast

I asked Carl Jones and he says Pirelli Australia have no interest to import these. The UK seller (Longstone ) noted above are the best bet.

Good news is that these tyres are now available here through Stuckey's in Melbourne.

Bad news is that they are as dear as poison. Below prices are each, don't include shipping or fitting Not much between them and the Michelin TBs I currently have - though I think the Pirellis will be a better wearing option and have a 2016 manufacture code.

                  185/70R15 CN36 @$459
                  215/60R15 CN36 @$605

I run RS sized 7 x 8 x 15" and at least the 215 is now available for the rear. That's about a $2500 spend for me in Port Mac. But they will look and I suspect drive wonderfully!

To keep it in perspective they're about the same as the run flats on my daily driver - but wouldn't have to changed so often. I'd be interested in people's experience with these as I'm getting rid of the Dunlop R's

I'd really like to see them on an early 911 before committing...

I have 185/70 on my S, cost me just on $500 ea for 5 in July 2015 from Longstones, exchange rate more favourable now I think. Haven't done that many kays on them, ran them briefly on the 74 and 70S, I love the look on a stock car (prefer TBs otherwise) and FWIW I like the way they work, in particular no squealing in relatively normal use - the 195 Bridgestone I have on the 74 now squeal at the slightest provocation which is enbarassing.

Thanks Mitchell - do have some photos? Are you running different widths?
