    Fuch / steel weight difference

Mystery solved using some very technical equipment....ha ha...for each set of rims I have listed the average of all four rims. The most interesting finding is the variance which demonstrates the quality of the fuchs !!

6x15 fuchs average weight 5.8kg (variance 40 grams)
5.5x15 steel average weight 8.8kg (variance 360 grams)
6x15 steel average weight 9.6kg (variance 410 grams)

Will update with other sizes when I have the opportunity.....

    Kind Regards

Impressive variation on the steelies. I wonder if they can be milled to balance in weight? Also the weight seems to be 3-4 kgs heavier x 4 for all steel rims. Unsprung weight can have a multiplier effect as well with suspension movement.

My steel/alloy wheels came in at around 6.4 kg each. Slightly heavier than a Fuch but much lighter than all steel!
