Can anyone ID this key tumbler?

Does anyone know where/which car this tumbler originally came from?

I now know why the passenger door lock never worked - I have different keyed tumblers on either side of the car!

In addition, the tumbler/barrels (in both doors) don't appear to be a genuine Porsche item (at least to my untrained eyes anyway).

I'd like to know so I can research and find out if I can rekey the locks to match the ignition key.

    Thanks in advance.

I suspect pre 1970 MY but not 100% on the cut off as I know of two 1970 MY cars with the early style external door handles & keys. These were late '69 production cars.

Does anyone have a contact in Melbourne that may be able to help rekey these?

I tried the local auto locksmith and they told me that they've never worked on a tumbler like it before in their 25yrs of working. They were unwilling to break open the tumbler as they had no idea if they could source blank pins.

That said, they did cut some new keys to match, so now I have 3 keys for the car - 1 for the driver side, 1 for the passenger side, and 1 for the ignition!

            Clyde,

its LSC; Locksmith Supply Co. You would need to speak to Mark to get it done because they no longer serve walk-up customers. Its wholesale only AFAIK these days.

And I hear Mark is currently driving a 996 back across from WA this week.
