Hi everyone. This is my first post. I just wanted to introduce myself, and also say thank you for allowing me to join the forum. My name is Scott Rackley. I currently live in Adelaide's inner east (where I occasionally see DJ911's silver 911T), though I am from Sydney where my work is based. With a lot of help from Classic (Tony), I bought a convert leaf green 2.2 911T earlier this year. The car was on Carsales a while, and after some very lengthy negotiation, it arrived at its new home in March. From what we can ascertain, it would seem to have its matching numbers engine and gearbox, and is generally in fair condition. It is currently red, but will be returned to leaf green in the (hopefully) not too distant future. Like most, I have limited time between work and family, so it will all take time. I'm also coming to the end of a restoration of another completely different little car, a 1971 LC XU1. I look forward to the enjoyment of 901 ownership, and becoming an active member of the forum. Thanks again.

Welcome Scott.
Great to see the expansion of the forum membership in other States. A good size crew now in Qld and now another crow eater for SA.
We really are growing into a solid national organisation.

Welcome Scott and congratulations on what looks a great purchase. Very cool to have two similar era 'race breed' cars from rival ends of the spectrum (German engineering vs Australian 'muscle'). Enjoy!
Lets hope the SA contingent continues to grow and more fine cars come out of the wood work.Tom Laube

Here is the XU1 a couple of weeks back. They are a really fun little car as well, but are a lot different to drive....

Great buy by the looks.
The red is easy to the eye while you wait for the right time. This forum is the place to be for these cars.
I also had an LC Gtr . White, with a 202 stroker and a 465 four barrel Holley, stage 5 yella terra heard, roller rockers etc etc.
Actually a similar car in size and power to early Porsche cars. (Compared to my current Porsche that is).
Don't feel shy setting up a resto thread on you XU1 we all love seeing beauty unfold.
Thanks
Jim
