I've got the Red Kote liner in my tank......6000 Miles and no indication of failure.... Just another option to the Por stuff.......now back to the OP

Thanks Tony, is the filter cleanable or should I order a new one, along with the necessary gaskets/washers?

Paul, are you asking whether the POR15 or Redkote affect the filter? If so, definitely! But you remove it and the drain bung as part of the process. I went to Clarke Rubber and bought various sized rubber boat bungs and plugged the holes during the resto. Worked really well.

You can clean the filter mesh using an organic solvent (carby cleaner) and a fine wire brush, or as suggested, replace with a new one. You will need a standard (22mm I think) crushable alloy washer when you replace/remove the filter.
