I believe John Audette does a nice job for somewhat less using the truck lite

                    This was his example Michel

A customer of mine in Alaska sent me a set of SWB U.S. headlights to restore - with a twist. He was more interested in having bright lights than in originality. Daylight hours in Alaska can be short and there are lots of critters roaming around. This is what we came up with: 339171 339172 339170 These are mega-bright LED 7" units from Truck-Lite. They're being used on everything from motorcycles to Ferraris to Jeeps - and now on a vintage Porsche.

                      Thanks for the links guys.

Had a look at the Singer page. May not be so temporary...

                      "Lighting-

The primary lighting is radically updated using state of the art Hella Bi Xenon headlight units developed for the ALMS Race Series and have been incorporated into newly developed headlight housings.
Newly developed lightweight polycarbonate clear headlight lenses are used to replace the original glass units."

Merv these NARVAS look interesting. Wonder what the low high beam looks like?

Think of them as a contemporary biode...

At $850 a pair though they'd better be good
