69' 3 Bar grill

Hi all, I have an opportunity to buy this grill for about USD$500, would you say that's good value being a single year part.

Educate me why is 69 one year only?

Just is what it is. Nah I have know idea why, but 69' is the one year that has a 3 bar grill and the rest have 5 along with some other minor differences.
I'm sure someone else here could explain it better.

There is an excellent 3 bar available here in Brisbane (as good as the one pictured) if you have an equivalent 5 bar to swap...

Allways thought the 1 year appellation mostly applied to '68

Early style finished mid 68 (is that what you're referring to Merv?). 3 Bar started second half 68 through to 69. From 1970 is the 5 Bar.

Hey Fish, that 3 bar sounds gooood. I assume you want an equally nice 5 bar for that 68' of yours. I only have a ticky tacky plastic one off an SC or the like.
But I do like that 3 bar, get back to me if its available.

If you buy the grill make sure it is packed well, very easily bent in transit.

I have a very nice three bar that I bought for the '68 and I think I paid about that much, get good photos and maybe even ask if all the bars are correctly numbered?

Those 3 bar grilles, can get a bit 'wavy' at times as well

So should buy the grill pictured in my earlier post. Or hold out for one in Australia.
