    Todays Torquay Run

    Hi all,

today was a great social day for the club with a great turnout of families and kids.

Marcus and Gabby were terrific hosts opening up their Torquay holiday home for pre lunch refreshments.

I think the Clubhouse restaurant will be used again for further runs down that way, but hopefully in better (warmer) weather.

I didnt take any pics, so lets see some posted from others that did.

Oh and thanks to Darren Sharp for inviting a few of us back to his house. Clyde was impressed by the home theatre setup. And Tim loved Darren's Hypersimulator. Guess what's now on the Christmas present list .....

Wrong Phil I was agog with the set up I have seen a few as I know some USA Tour Pro Golfers who love their electronics but none came close to emulating the feel Darren has created let alone the quality of the sound on my favourite ever Fleetwood Mac song "The Chain". Loved it!!!!!

    I want one now!!!

Thanks Marcus and Gabby for organising and hosting the day. God it was cold at Torquay but 11 cars and 31 people for lunch meant it was a good day all round.

I took my timewarp 71T on its last Aussie journey to make sure the work done recently was settled as it goes to its new Spanish domiciled owner this week.

Next time Marcus, no more on asphalt roads please!

Also a big thanks to Marcus and Gabbie for arranging a great day.

Phil, Sounds like we need a poll to pick the colour scheme for Tim's hyper...

Seriously, we should try to make a club night at the race centre, ten linked simulators racing porsches head to head with you guys sounds like fun to me!

I went for the clubman in Italian Racer 2000 colours with my two chassis speakers and mounts for my own controls.

Darren, I think a club night at the centre on 10 simulators sounds like great fun. Dave Belford also asked about a gokart evening. Does anyone know of a centralised track somewhere we could run this where they have decent gokarts ??

                    Phil

There is Ace Karts in Sunshine which I have been to a few times and they have a pretty good set-up... but, it is in Sunshine!

                    Cheers

THere is a place in Cheltenham road, that is really good, we have done a couple of events there, and PCV have done events there also.
The track is indoors, and has full electronic timing etc.
Karts are good, and they have a grid etc.... cannot remember the name right now but will find out
