    Shane,

those are Cibie Oscars which havent really changed a lot over the years. You can still buy them new, around $170 ea. They would have been around form the 60's onwards.

Do you want to add them to your car ? Might look a bit funny with where you have to fit them ? They are a bit large for thru the grill fittings.

      Phil,

Thanks Phil, saw them on a site and they looked relatively inexpensive, I can see why now after searching "Oscars" on Eary S and Pelican.

      No problem,

Nothing good is ever inexpensive on the 911....

Here's a pic of an early car with Oscars fitted on thru the grille brackets.

          Doesnt look right.

            Phil,

Where can you get them from now...and are the fixing brackets available still?

              Andrew,

I assume you mean the Oscars ? These are available at many places, especially 4WD stores or rally gear stores. Have even seen Cibies in AutoBarn etc.

Thru-the-grille lamp brackets are available ex USA as repros, probably off the Early S registry site. Do a search on their forum. original brackets are rare, as are the special grilles with the cut outs to suit the bracket. probably best to get a cheap plastic set and cut these.

But are you wanting to fit the Oscars to our car ? I dont think they look very correct and are pretty vulnerable to reverse park damage if you mount thru the grilles.

I cant seem to find any of the orginal Hella's anywhere..now living in a rural area the lights on my old girl are not exactly top shelf....so this may be an ok option at a reasonable cost.....and I do like the look of that white car...so much so I have even aquired a set of go faster stripes....just not game to put them on ....yet
