    Not Very Happy

Closing the bonnet last night i felt something hit my hand.

Grabbed the torch, only to find it was part of my new Porsche orange bar badge

It would appear that the other half has come off when i washed the car yesterday, or when i took it for a spirited drive.....to blow the water out

Looks like rather than individual bars, its an enamel decal........

    Not very happy for $240.00AUD

    Hi Tony,

You are not the only one.

I have the new badge from Porsche Classic and it is now missing one orange bar, it's a piece of junk.

    Cheers,

    Harry.

My badge appears to be a decal rather than individual enamel

Happened to me too.... PCM replaced it under warranty. I had the invoice fortunately.

We were joking about doing warranty work on a 1968 model!

            Everything is **** these days.
Maybe we should have a thread running on bad stuff to be aware of!
So we can all have it in one place for future reference.

            Maybe 3 threads

            - The good
            - The bad
            and
            - The ugly (this is a good product but poor customer service.

Clearly an issue Tony. I'd write to them regardless of the receipt and get a response.

And I'll give you $50 for what you've got there

I'm thinking i might see if one of the enamel guys can do anything with it......

I will send an email with a photo to the OPC on the GC

If you don't ask you wont know Tony.

Perhaps if there is a date range for when it was purchased they may be able to find it. How many old style badges would PCGC sell a year I wonder?

I had the same thing happen Tony to my refurbished original. For no apparent reason. It has been replaced free of charge by the member here from whom I purchased it.

If not then the prospect of getting out the Humbrol paints was not an attractive one, and a jeweller who did enamelling was the best choice.

I can tell you I showed PCA parts Manager this post this morning

They have sold less than a handful one being Justin's which was replaced under warranty.

If you buy from overseas then your on your own

I bought mine from Porsche Centre Willoughby ... which may have helped me get a new one under warranty.

What I was told was that if this (new)one failed - I wouldn't be able to claim it again.

Hopefully it won't - and I can only commend the guys in at Collingwood who made the whole process as easy as they could.

If it fails again I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.....
