This weekends work - doors/frames and alike

    Team,

My car currently after the work from ZAGs has both doors hung and well aligned but in my moment of DIY madness I suggested to the repairers (to save money) leave all the internal bits off.

So I need encouragement and tips/advice for the weekends work which will include the following.

Take the windows out from the old doors and fit them into the new.

The frames are already of and cleaned, so I need to fit these aswell

Door exterior handles are on and the catches and locks have been fitted, however the internal mechanism is not attached.

Internal door openers also need fitting.

I really need direction and or advice from anyone who has fiddled / changed or completed a similar task in recent times to chime in with the advice.

Are there tech articles / books / etc I can refer to.

Research will start tonight and I have the following pieces of Porsche books to refer to, I just haven;t had time to look at this with any depth as yet.

    Publications I have are.

    Wayne Dempseys 101 Projects
Haynes Restoration manual (blue covered one, I also have the repair haynes aswell)
    PET

    And of course the internet.

    Cheers - Shane
Ps I'll take pictures along the way
pps I think I have all the hardware and tools required.

I think someone on the Early S Registry has posted the early workshop manuals on a hosted site. Perhaps do a search and see what you can find. Broadband is a requirement for download though, as the files are pretty big!!

Erwin maybe it would be worth looking at having them in our information section if there are no copyright issues and the files aren't to big?

I'd be happy to upload them to our Document Database if someone gives me the link to the file.

I managed to download these onto cd when it was 1st posted a few weeks ago - though (due to an old pc) I don't have an easy way of copying the cd. Let me know if you can't find it, and I'll get a copy (or copies) made. They're way too big to email.

What's the link to the actual manuals? I want to see what they actually are and whether copyright subsists in them.

Erwin, the link was removed from the actual Pelican web site by the administrator.

I'm not sure if I saved it in my favourite searches but I'll have a look on my home pc over the weekend.
