HPR30 is 20W60 and I have used it now for over 25 years in everything from a 1964 997cc MAE engine in a Brabham that ran to over 10,000 as a pushrod engine (124bhp) to Lotus twincams and the list goes on. I have also only ever used it as the oil in all the other classic cars I have been involved with. I have never had a failure. It is the best oil of all in my books.
I like the extra body it has, would never consider ever using a modern synthetic oil - too thin, no body in to take the massive loads old engines have at the cam lobe compared to modern multivalve and therefore lightweighted spring tensions on the lobe/cam follower interface.
