Welcome to the joint owners' club John! Well done you. BT6?
They are a quite beguiling old car to drive and have a lovely quiet engine note in standard form. Seats look good and the radio is also a nice one. They are a nice easy car to work on as well. tell us more!
Wow that's a big ambition fulfilled John..... Congratulations
I was just driving dads car yesterday and those little cars are beguiling .....
I can understand where Clyde is coming from but as I grew up with 356's ( our B has been in the family since it was new in 1961) and my first car was a 64 C I get 356's.......
I said that as John owned one of the best 65 911 cars around so i didn't quite get the going back to a 356 however I do get the "I have always wanted bit" and it seems like that drove the purchase
Always thought it was cool how the exhaust came out of the overrider on that model

1950-1965 was a long production run for the first design, the 356. This pic shows the differences in size of the cars and how much room in the front seat area the 356 has. Not in the rear however.

They seem to interest different demographics of bystanders as well. No exhaustive research, but the mid-40's guys ogle the early 911's and the pre-teenage kids and over 55's the 356. Take your pick!
