Anyone know how many 73 RHD targas were manufactured?

I can say there might be 4 oz S's and there were 18 UK S's with only a bakers dozen known to remain. As for how many TES to all RHD markets. No idea - one year model , so I expect it to be few....Hugh

Very few. Only year F series targas were made in RHD...

I think Hugh has the numbers regarding Aussie delivered RHD cars and I think it's single figures.

*Technically after the 1968 911S hard window targa (7 made), the 1973 911S RHD Targa would be the least produced F series car...

Sounds like Mick may have found one? Good news if he has!

as Clyde said 4 S targa 5 speed (all still exist but not all left in Australia now :-() and 2 sportos I know one exists but no info on the others
for the E targas: 8 5 speed and 15 sporto
and T targas: 4 5 speed and 5 sporto as well as 2 4 speed ones

for the UK I have partial figures suggesting 46 RHD and one LHD S targas to the UK as well as 77 E targas.

However another claim was that the 46 was TOTAL world production of RHD S targas and that there were 50 RHD targa E's and 80 RHD targa T's ie all of the RHD targas in total for the world was 176. (of which Australia got 37 or 20%. That is a bit more than our natural quota for other models and years but may be correct if the targas were not as popular in UK due to climate).

and a separate claim that there were only 19 RHD S targas to the UK which would tie in with the second claim more than the first one

whichever way you cut it it is not many :-)

dont ask me how many blue ones Mick

I previously owned one of the Aussie delivered 73S sporto targas, sold many years back to Mark Johnston who restored it back to factory gulf orange and then sold it on. Not sure whether that car is still on our shores??
