Interesting new electrics for early 911s

Just found this interesting site for replacement CDI boxes and fuse panels.

The CDI boxes look very interesting with lots of adjustments and settings available.

Phil, I've read lots of good reports on these on pelican, seem like guys that really know what they're doing.

      phil,
i fitted the Partsklassic version of this after reading about the sensivity of the old CDI to heat.
when the 2.4 got really hot the MFI developed a flutter at idle and a hesitation on acceleration. after fitting the new CDI both of these issues have disappeared.

Good to hear Craig, was wondering if any members here had tried the new device. was it a true 'plug-n-play' install ?

True plug and play upgraded the coil at the same time

DDK guys are choosing the Classicretrofit option with good results. Wonder what the landed cost would be. The fuse block is also available from cddautogear.com but would there be a local option?
I think the CR developer was giving DDK a discount for " bulk buys"

Partsklassik is a lot cheaper I believe and is definately plug and play

I too have a partklassik cdo on my 68 L

When a cdi failed on the way home in the middle of Victoria Rd Rozelle (in peak hour on a Friday night) I sold my stash of original spares and bought a new cdi and coil as Craig did.

                They're great!
