    New Toy - 1968 911S

Thanks to everyone that advised on this purchase. Just waiting on a RW to put though the club plate permit.

Details on the car from Harry are:

    1968 911 S Coupe
    Engine number matches
It is an Australian Delivered car (19-01-1968)
    Light Ivory Exterior
    Black Leather Interior

    Options
    Blaupunkt Radio Type Koln
    Loudspeaker and antenna
    Outside Thermometer
    Electric Sunroof
    Tinted glass
    Sportomatic
    Headrest
    Right Hand drive
    3 point seat belts
    Halogen Spotlights above bumper bar

Right now it is painted black not white.
Interior looks to be mostly original except for steering wheel and stereo.
Exterior is mainly rust free (who knows what lies beneath though).
Missing fog lamps/driving lights which I started a thread on trying to clarify what would have been original.

Please have a look at the pictures and let me know what is wrong/non original etc.

Was looked after well by the same owner for the last 25 years.

Looking forward to getting this on the road.

Very nice Robin. I am thinking you are now the best qualified to comment on the current value of a 68 911S!?

I could not quote such a number publicly - my wife may see it......

Also welcome to the 68 club. A remarkable year. Lovely car Robin. I notice the theft deterrent on the floor. That will be important.

              Early style headrests, cool.

I guess that ties in with the very early 1968 delivery date.

Another bonus is that you would be an aluminium engine casing as the change was about mid year.

My eyes are old but it looks like elephant hide on the dash?
Are the door panels in Elephant also?

Delivered about 2 weeks before my car..... they were probably in the same ship?

Was it a Hamiltons delivery? Or one of the other dealers?
