    Glove box badge

While I'm on a roll with questions
Did the 71e have the 911E badge on the glove box door?

I think 1970 was the last year when the model type was shown on the glovebox door.

Like Marcus, my '71 E also had the badge on the glove box.

Mark, I read an article on Pelican that 70'was the last year to have the badge however Marcus and Damien's cars would seem to prove that to be incorrect.

From what I can see in photos the badge has 2 pins on the back and looking at my door there are no holes

The holes are in the alloy trim piece, not the glovebox door.

Correction. According to Dr. Johnson's Restorers guide - last year was 1971.

Factory Katalog/PET says the interior logo is 1970 and prior. But I've also seen a VERY original 1971 911E with the logo fitted.
Although the factory says up to and including 1970, there are always spill overs/variations from the previous MY. Polished Fuchs petals in 1974 is a perfect example...
If you like the idea of having a logo on your dash board, put it on. If you think it'll bug you because it's not 'technically' correct, leave it off.

Love the way this thread ends up being more about personality disorders than glove box badges
