Problem with turn signal indicator switch

I am within a spider's private of completing a re build of a 1966 911 ( started in 1989 ) and am now having a problem getting the turn signal switch working. The problem is getting the switch to cancel when the wheel is turned back to the straight position.

Is there someone out there who fix this problem? I am from the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria.

nearest Porsche specialist to you is Peter Hardt who could help I am sure

If the canceling ring is present, try unscrewing retaining screws and rotating the ring 180 deg, refit.
