    Blower Cover: Finish

Does someone know the correct paint finish on the boot cover over the blower motor and air pipes?

Mine is black with a semi gloss/satin finish.

Others seem to have a matt black finish - e.g. the ones from Europe recently organised by Scott.

Did the colour and finish differ across the years?

yes they did 69 was more semi-gloss/satin than the 72-72 versions which were very matt black

      Thanks Clyde.

I also noted that the covers Scott bought have a smooth finish.

Mine has a rough dimpled type of finish and may not be correct.

      Any thoughts?

          Correct for 69

Correct 69 has metal tabs at the top for the small carpet straps to go into to later ones had press studs for trunk carpet

            Thanks Clyde.

Here's a photo of mine. The surface is very uneven and sort of dimpled.

Are you saying this is correct for 69?

btw: it looks a bit shinier in the photo than it actually is.

100% correct except but looks like it has been painted even despite what you say about being shinier in the photo

              Has the metal tabs too
