I was visiting a motorcycle dealer in rural Australia this week when he took me into a back corner of his workshop and he showed me a 6 cylinder Porsche engine and gearbox on a pallet which had been there for 5 years . He thinks it is a 2.2 . It has Webers . He told me that the owner was a local character who had bought it in for a rebuild but who had never coughed up the readies for the work to start .I presume that the car is standing forlorn in some shed on a property . I am following up .

John,
good spotting. I guess you'll let us all know about the car AFTER its safely tucked away in your garage ?
Unfortunately if its on carbs, not much chance of it being a 2.2S but still, a nice 70 or 71 2.2T would be a nice find , especially at the right price.sigpicPhil Lack
