    Stoddard's USA for 901 parts

Had been having trouble sourcing the aluminium sill/ deco trim for the E.

In the parts catalogue it appears for all cars as one part number. SVM supplied the short trim for an early car and Pelican I could only back order a genuine part with a 6 week wait and potentially the same problem. A bit of research on the Early S site and I came across Stoddards of Willoughby, Ohio (how ironic!). Their parts site is easy to use and you can see straight away if the item is in stock. They offer a lot of OE and non genuine parts for our cars. Here is the link

    http://www.stoddard.com/shop/shopdis...11+(1965-1973)

Parts were ordered 29.09 and delivered 04.09, excellent.

Oh, and i now have a complete set of early sill deco trims for sale!!

Stoddards and pelican Parts are both good but beware they both carry reproduction parts with Porsche numbers for some parts and you may not quite get what you expect. Stoddards usually signify their repro parts with SIC I think it is.

I have used both lots and found them to be very good in most instances.

Stoddards is a terrific resource but they dont have everything. Many parts are out of stock or NLA and as Clyde says, they have repro stuff made.

That said, their service is excellent and they are easy to deal with. Make sure that if you buy a lot, ask for 10% discount.

No, I was looking for the external alloy trim that covers the sill. Thats the trim for inside the car, scuff plate you might call it.
