    My 906

    Xmas came early in Ryan-land:

My new Group Sb weapon. This thing is ridiculously fast. I can not get over how hard this car goes with only 2 litres of engine to push it along...

    Merry Xmas!

    Ps: love this car...

mate, love the car. So happy that you got in the end, as it was too good to pass up!

Very jealous on all counts. Now we need to find out what gears are in it, then see you at Phillip Island for the 2.0l show down!!!!

What rear sway bars is it running. I think I am going to beaf mine up a bit.

The car looks beautiful, and with those big pipes out the back, I am sure it is one the noisy side too!!

Best part about it, it is a narrow guard car! And effectively an RS killer on the track!

Can't wait to compare, and work out what I need to do to keep up with you!!

          Merry Christmas!

              Lovely Ryan,

Good things come to those who wait...

I'm sure the previous owner is happy to see the car going to such an appreciative owner...

I had a ride in the car when it was first finished and boy does it go... Hope to have look and a ride in it soon...

                thanks justin.

i fitted a nardi wheel and adjusted the driver's seat position today and now feel very at home in this car.

next on the list is some new rubber.

One of the many Nardi steering wheels you've acquired over the last year or so Mr Curnick?

i have a steel space saver from another car - but it is not fitting in the recess of the 85litre tank too well. i'm thinking maybe its either not fully compressed or the 85litre tanks have a particular spare?

did your RS have a steel or alloy spacesaver?

                              Ryan

i have an 85 litre plastic tank in my car. it has a steel spacesaver wheel (15 inch) in it. the fit is "snug", but it does fit. you have to jiggle it around a bit and the tyre has to be very flat.
i have seen 15 inch fuchs as spacesavers with 85 litre tanks as well.
the hardest part to fit mine is betwen the front panel and the front part of the round part of the tank that fits inside the wheel. once you are over the hump of pushing it in it fits well - then all you have to worry about is getting it out again.

i think there is an art to doing it though - put the front in first and then push down at the back

                              good luck
