At least he's dialled down the hyperbole in the ad - it is much better described now.

Much closer to market now. I love a red interior...

I haven't got the $60k anyway, but I wish it was still white. The white with red interior is a great combo.

I heard feedback from someone who personally inspected this car recently, and it wasnt all that good. There are many issues with this car and it requires a LOT of work to get back into peak condition.

Interested to hear if others also view the car and their comments.

Apparently the photos arent really that representative of its true condition. The person inspecting it is very knowledgeable when it comes to early 911's. He passed on it.

Apparently car is now sold as price was dropped to $60K. Still high for what its condition was.

New owner may be a member or might end up joining here ???

I saw this car in the flesh today, and the new owner seems very happy with his buy. He is a porsche person and seems to know his stuff... looked very straight to me, a couple of cosmetic things need doing, but certainly no sign of bubbling! The current colour is an "interesting" version of porsche silver - looked more like Dolphin Grey, but then it was covered in a bit of dust! I'm not sure the new owner is in a mad rush to join the forum, although he has been following this thread with some interest!

                        Mark,

is the car now in Melbourne ?

I assume new owner has touched base with Mike at Spyder who did plenty of work on this car.

I didn't have a long chat to him, but he is certainly on top of it... I think it will be a decent car when it's done!
