    Jock,
the 2.4S I think you're referring to was a black on black car owned by a well known/respected British artist Richard Hamilton, was passed onto his son and had undergone full resto - it was a pretty special example.

Having said that I understand that a 2.4S coupe sold for just under 400k pounds at auction in the UK a week or so ago and this targa is only a bit over 25% of that.
It was hidden under your nose too Jock

Yes the Richard Hamilton car of The Beatles Abbey Road Album cover fame so e ceratin amount of celebrity attached to that sale

I think another "normal" 2.4S sold for a bit over half that in the same auction.

          1. Its a Targa, I like them, but most want a coupe

          2. It doesn't run and has been sitting for a very long time so lots of systems need a full rebuild I suspect.

3 It does have some rust...and there will be more that can't be seen.

          4. It will need a restoration.

I will make the following adjustments to the above statements

          1. Still correct

          2. Still correct

          3. I don't think there is any or much more rust that we couldn't see after
          very close inspection

          4. It needs a partial restoration lots of originality to preserve. It will get it.
Dave and I are going to make sure of that.

In summary it is better than what I expected and thats why when I finally saw it in the flesh and corresonded with Dave that we decided to buy it.
