Pulled the horn pad off the 79 this morning, the steering wheel is the same as the 76,77 turbo wheels.(vw emblem, solid rear shroud).

Brett from aPorschaPart rang me today to say a wheel had turned up. It just needs recovering and some love with a can of armorall. It has the VW logo the pad and a solid rear shroud. Thanks to Chris, Damian and mrar in particular. The 86 Carrera is booked in while we are O/S to get the front valance repaired, the whale tail and spare boot lid painted and a 1st synchro fitted.

Like the 70's Carrera and Turbo tails, the 3 spoke wheel differences take a bit to get your head around. Glad to hear you found the one you were looking for.
