I'm rather enjoying this ... and I'm with Ryan....rattles are well and truly being thrown out of the cot ... all in the nature of good early 911 banter!

So Brett.... nah, ne, nah, ne nah, nah from me too.

I have the dosh, bit its allocated to the body and paint (wouldn't it be nice to be able to do both?).... but given the discussion about costs, and engine futures, perhaps I should have a think about it ... even if it it is one of those slow 2.4T motors, and Clyde's been nasty to me!:p

I'm taking my bat and ball and going home.... for now........

Yes mate, was there on Wednesday as I was in Adelaide for business (my usual once a month visit!).

I reckon they are good value at that. Would cost you double that to build it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now lets see if that sets the cats amongst the pigeons (Bill Lawrie's ones - Wendy and Wendy Jnr).

                smart arse!

Hey Ryan, those motors also had Flux Capacitors as well. Don't know if that will alter your decision at all!!!!

                      Good for you Clyde.

Ultimately its worth what someone is willing to pay, and I'm happy that someone saw the value in it.... in spite of the "expert advice"

Off to eat some humble pie now...

I've now gained a further appreciation for what motors are really worth in 2009.

Someone got a bargain for way less than it would have cost just as a rebuild.

As an aside, I just saw in "Just Cars" mag, a brand new LS2 GM 6.0ltr V8 engine complete for $5325.00. 270Kw brand new in crate.

Now I know theres no comparison, but $5 K for a brand new engine ?
