it is a deal..but there are some issues to attend to.
The owner is straightforward - though not a diehard porsche enthusiast. Which is evident given the general condition of the car.
Body issues with some simple obvious rust repairs required - approx 10k with likely additional body costs on further investigation. Paint (light ivory) is OK for a quality original colour repaint done approx 10-15 years ago
Elec gremlins that result in quick battery drain with lights on.
Gearbox/crown pinion making big noise
Engine smokes a bit on start up - visual condition is very dirty/oily should clean up ok.
heat exchangers a bit rusty
needs a service
Non original front seats, but nice interior colour - red. original carpet and other trim.
But is a driver at the moment and is an early car, is RHD and OZ delivered.
So all people looking for a SWB Oz delivered car - think first year oz delivered LWB

Second year LWB It looks like a '70t to me...
In real terms, having to have a pro do the work, there's $20k in bodywork and a gearbox; plus another potential i$$ues with an old engine. I think it's pretty good value if you think on whether you'd pay $50-60k for a well sorted car.Last edited by Fishcop; 23-01-12, 06:12 PM.John Forcier
