Sounds like you know him Shane.

I tend to agree with Jeff if indeed the car has sat for such a long time without starting, driving etc. Jeff's diagnosis of likely problems is on the money and there wont be a lot of change when all these items get attended to, hopefully properly using the right parts and knowledge.

Time will tell if we see it tuned over quickly (flipped as the yanks say) . Keen to know who actually bought it.

I love the VIN though, who else has a 0911 ending VIN amongst us ??

Obviously a genuine seller teamed with a very keen buyer who has his finger on the pulse. Sounds like everyone is happy!
I don't think this is the sort of market where you buy a car like this to 'flip' on.
Anyone who is a keen follower of the market will know how flat it is with so many reasonable cars not attracting much interest. As someone who is looking to sell and buy again, it astounds me when I see a new advertisement published on carsales that is pitched up against a number of very similar cars that have been on the market for ever and they try there luck with a higher asking price. It's a flat market!
      Is it wishful thinking?
Makes you wonder about how many sellers simply like seeing there car on the net opposed to genuinely wanting to move on?

I also follow the high end yacht market and there too, are plenty of higher priced boats not moving too fast. yet you also hear about the "bargain buys" so there are cashed up buyers out there looking to steal boats when the price is right.

probably the same in this early 911 market and it will be a while before we return to those "good 'ol days" I am sure.
