VIN has been drilled. Is it a '69 912?

Can't check the info books at the moment....

It checks out as a 70 E
The red 66 for sale at the moment is a 912 though .
Make sure you check out the numbers if you in the market !

I'm not so sure. The VIN might suggest so but why has it got an SC or later dash? cut and shut? Lots of work to cut a section out of the middle of a dash just to make it look newer! A RHD SC with an early VIN?

I would remove the knee pad and have a look at the build number unless you simply wanted it for parts but it is a bit rich for that.

Something doesn't add up!
