Hi all, after a brief flurry of calls/emails (most of which came after I'd received a deposit),it looks like there will be a new custodian of the yellow rocket.
He's a member on here and I'll let him announce it when he takes delivery of it.
Maybe sold too cheap but the old saying of "a bird in the hand" comes to mind. Would have loved to keep both,but....
I have secured the lovely group Nc car of John Nelson in Adelaide after a whirlwind tour/driveday yesterday of SA and then onto Melbourne and Phillip i
Island to drive an 07 cup car which I'm negotiating on as well.
Will keep you updated and get pics of the new toy on here soon,
            Cheers,
            Nic

                  Both actually Clyde,sorry.
Very hard to put a value on these cars on the open market, nothing worse than it stagnating on Car Sales.Had half a dozen good inquiries and it was priced to sell I thought?

I think your asking price was sharp Nic, and you got a good sale accordingly.

Have you got a story to tell about the new one yet?

There's always a story with my addiction to these cars John!
Should have the Nc car up here in Brissy in January.Ross Almond is bringing it up and the cup car to collect Mikes new 991 cup car for carrera cup.
Nc car is a 69s,ex California with all original bits like barrels, pistons, case, panels etc.its a very well built race car with lots of money spent by John Nelson just like Cams car was.Modena LSD,re ratioed 915 box, bars, shocks
Probably not an everyday drive but just tame enough to be very very fun!
Was all refreshed one meeting ago so fingers crossed, should be good to go,just needs rego.
Saw this car when I raced at Bathurst in 2010 and fell in love with old 911's,bugger
I'll keep you posted, more info to come, and some pics soon
                      Nic
