Good thinking. Imagine the abuse you would get in the Porsche community if you did that. The guy who shot Cecil the lion would seem an angel in comparison.

Hi guys,
Yes we still have the car.
We have done about 1,000 miles or so with the car since we have owned it.
Gave it to my detailer to give it a nice sympathetic detail a few weeks ago. Look bloody amazing now!
Car is impossible to replace (in Australia anyways) so whilst it is not for sale, a silly number could possibly pry it away. But need or want to sell.
It has only travelled 28,000 miles (just over now) and does have some stone chips on the front. However the body and interior and the fit and finish really do show what these cars should be like. Equally the way it starts, drives, shifts etc. Sublime.
Will bring it out again for a run or maybe the 356 concours one of these days. Just need to get the time to do so!

Interestingly, the original number plate on my old '71 E was KXG911, one letter off Alex's car (KXH911). Though his is a '73 car.
Alex, I'm assuming yours wears its original plate as well?Last edited by damianroyce; 21-08-15, 09:17 PM.Damian Royce
