That's very cool, when I grew up mum and dad had Type 3 wagon in the same colour. I say, keep the tan seats

Score! If it were mine I would add some bay window louvre windows to increase the visibility, rock 'n' roll bed in the back and a basic camper interior. Lots of good info on the Kombi Club forum Aus, or on The Samba forum US.

Any yes to the Porsche signwriting ;-)

New steering wheel for the Kombi arrived yesterday....just in time for Father's Day. (made in England by Aircooled Accessories.com) Same size as the original wheel (17")
Seats have been reupholstered (frames and springs restored) , new door cards made (not yet fitted), new cabin carpet made and all rubber mats for seat pedestals purchased, new door and tailgate rubbers purchased and other bits and pieces. Pretty much purchasing everything from Dasresto and Just Kampers in NSW.
Now awaiting painter to return to work after lockdown to paint entire floor and all internal metal which will be visible after linings fitted. Also painting the 5 wheels. All interior trimming will be done by Dave Scanlon (Volkstrim) who is recognised as the best in the business for Kombis - and best of all he lives only 4km from me in Upwey.
The entire interior will be lined and soundproofed . Still planning on the "PORSCHE" lettering on sides of van and considering Porsche shields on each door need to see some examples first.
Will also fit retractable beige coloured seat belts.
I reckon around $12k to $15 for entire job....................."slippery slope" did someone say?
