Oil cooler mount done, primed, seam sealed, stone chipped and painted. (VW Turkis Green)

Also de-rusted pedals and levers, re-tapped threads and painted in lovely gloss black.

Great to catch up with you for dinner last Friday, Cam. The Kombi looks to be really getting there now. You surely have the great weather up in Darwin now to be working on the car and I wish I was still up there after flying back into Melbourne last night to 13 degrees.

As for Darwin, warm, yes, but I'd have the cold in Perth any day over tropical humidity. 35years of it was enough

Oh please......I just spent a couple of days in the UAE night time temps dipped to 41.....I was looking for a jumper

Been a while.....The roof took hours to get reasonably straight and with the experience I gained in doing it would attack it in a different way now.....

Anyway finally got it painted and looking good and then went and buggered it up again

I spotted a couple of little patches on the interior of the roof a week after painting that for some reason I felt should be attacked with a grinder to touch them up. Result was a couple of heat bubbles in the paint and having to strip back a section to redo again.....bugger. Anyway it looks like I will learn how to blend repairs!

Also been working on reconditioning the front beam with a new centre pin and rubbers etc, installing seat belt mounts, accelerator pedal hinge and other odds and ends....
