The column gear shift on the ML's (and Benz's generally) drives me nuts. You'd want to be comfortable with one before buying.

That's the thing I like the best actually Paul. It is across the range now and clears out the centre space. I would miss the foot actuated handbrake, however. Most people hate that.

My daughter has a new ML250CDI and her husband the GL350CDI. Not getting a Merc would be breaking tradition it seems, but unless I can see a low kms 2012 model around there, it may be something else like the VW.

Can anyone tell me what is the difference between the standard Cayenne V6 and the same model Touareg?
