I've been putting a bit of time in on this one and Gaz has also helped out.

The Subi engine is gone and a 2054 VW engine is now in its place. There was a bit of steel to be replaced where Gaz had fitted the radiator.

I like to know what's going on engine wise so new oil pressure and oil temp gauges have gone in.

I drove it the 40ks from Humpty Doo (:p) to my place on Saturday and it's running a little warm so a remote oil cooler is on the to do list.

I've fitted a Blazecut fire suppression system in the engine bay - its basically a tube of fire retardant which is under pressure and will release once a certain temp is reached.

The bucket seats are out and an original bench seat is back in place with some new brackets to hold it there, and I've started sealing the birch ply panels I have for the interior.

Also test fitted my new magnetic curtains

You're making Jim feel all nostalgic now. Although he does have the twin cab and two similarly dated ambulances ....

Cam have you thought about using Ankor Wax for the exterior and wheel arches and also inside the door cavities while you've got the skins off?

Gaz used the Ankor wax he got from me on the bus.

Love the rat oval. Making me wish I hadn't sold mine...to Gaz as well, not that it looks like a rat anymore.

Great stuff Cam! Onward and upward hey..

Thanks Guys. Craig nope I'm going to raise this one up ;-)

I'm pretty sure its has a couple of doses of Anchor Wax in the past, so yep likely I'll do it again at some point. (Edit Reubs you beat me to it!) Unfortunately the roof was all rust treated and then painted with POR15 a few years back. I'm thinking I'll maybe prime and paint it green again and then rub it all back to age it…..

Lots of stuff to get done first though!
